Tata’s Semiconductor Fab at Dholera Expected by Q2 FY 2027-28: Gujarat Govt
The Gujarat government has informed the state legislature that the construction of India’s first AI-enabled semiconductor fabrication unit by Tata Electronics at Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) is expected to be completed by the second quarter of financial year 2027-28.
The facility is being developed in partnership with Taiwan’s Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC), with a total investment of ₹91,000 crore. This landmark project aims to position India as a significant player in the global semiconductor supply chain while fostering advanced manufacturing capabilities within the country.
