PM Modi to Visit Dholera SIR on March 12, Lay Foundation for ₹91,000 Crore Tata Semiconductor Plant
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on March 12 to lay the foundation stone for two landmark projects — the redevelopment of Sabarmati Ashram and Tata Group’s massive semiconductor fabrication unit at Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR).
According to state government sources, projects worth ₹4,000 crore have already been completed in Dholera’s smart industrial city, which the PM will inaugurate during his visit. The Tata semiconductor plant, with an investment of ₹91,000 crore, is set to be a game-changer for India’s electronics manufacturing sector.
Before heading to Dholera, PM Modi will initiate the Sabarmati Ashram redevelopment project. His itinerary also includes inaugurating modernized railway stations, new road bridges, and enhanced railway infrastructure — measures aimed at boosting Indian Railways’ capacity and lowering transportation costs nationwide.
