Gujarat Budget Allocates Funds for Dholera International Airport
Gandhinagar: The proposed Dholera International Airport has received a fresh push in the Gujarat government’s 2024–25 budget. Finance Minister Kanubhai Desai, presenting his third state budget, announced a provision of ₹122.26 crore as share capital contribution to Dholera International Airport Company Ltd.
To further support the Dholera Greenfield Airport Project, the budget also earmarks ₹15.50 crore for water supply infrastructure under state assistance. In addition, ₹25 crore has been set aside for the development of airports at Dholavira, Dhordo, Siddhpur, Vadnagar, Ankleshwar (Phase-2), and Kevadiya, reflecting the state’s broader commitment to enhancing aviation connectivity and infrastructure.
These allocations underscore Gujarat’s focus on turning Dholera into a world-class investment and transport hub, while strengthening regional air connectivity across the state.
