Gujarat Firm Bags ₹333 Cr Contract for Dholera Airport Integrated Terminal & ATC Tower

Ahmedabad-based Yashnand Engineers and Contractors, headquartered in Ellisbridge, has secured a ₹333 crore (excluding GST) contract for the design and construction of a state-of-the-art integrated terminal building and Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower at the upcoming Dholera Greenfield International Airport.

The work order, issued by Dholera International Airport Company Ltd. (DIACL) on January 1, 2024, covers a comprehensive scope — including detailed design, engineering, procurement, and construction of the integrated passenger terminal, ATC tower with technical block, cargo complex, ESS building, car parking, approach roads, ancillary structures, allied works, and complete electrical installations. The contract also includes operation, maintenance, and AICMC services.

1.5-Year Completion Timeline

The project is slated for completion within 18 months. This is part of Phase I of the airport’s development, which was approved by the Union Cabinet in June 2022 at an estimated cost of ₹1,305 crore.

Strategic Location & Progress

Located about 80 km (aerial distance) from Ahmedabad Airport, Dholera Airport is poised to become a key aviation hub for the region. Construction of core infrastructure — including a 3,200-metre runway, taxiways, apron, and perimeter road — is already progressing under Jodhpur-based Varaha Infra.

Once operational, Dholera Greenfield Airport will play a crucial role in boosting regional connectivity, supporting the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), and facilitating both passenger and cargo movement in Gujarat’s growing economic corridor.
