Grew Expands Solar Module Capacity to 6 GW, Adds 2.8 GW Ingot-to-Cell Production

Chiripal Group’s solar arm Grew is significantly scaling up its manufacturing capabilities, increasing solar module production capacity from 1.2 GW to 6 GW. The expansion includes 4.8 GW of new TOPCon-ready production lines, in addition to the existing 600 MW mono PERC and 600 MW TOPCon facilities.

The new capacity will be commissioned in two phases: 1.6 GW by May 2024 and an additional 3.2 GW by March 2025. Once complete, Grew will operate 2.8 GW of capacity in Jaipur, Rajasthan, and 3.2 GW in Dholera, Gujarat.

Under the PLI scheme, the company is also establishing 2.8 GW of integrated ingot, wafer, and cell manufacturing in Dholera, with a focus on TOPCon technology. Machinery for the new facilities will be sourced from ATW (stringers) and Jinchen (other equipment).

This expansion positions Grew as a major player in India’s solar manufacturing landscape, reinforcing its commitment to advanced photovoltaic technologies.
