Dholera to Take Centre Stage at Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024
Gujarat is gearing up to welcome global leaders, top investors, and industry visionaries as the 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS) kicks off on January 10, 2024. This three-day global business event will feature a key seminar spotlighting Dholera – India’s pioneering greenfield smart city, under the theme “Dholera: A Greenfield Smart City for Smart Businesses.”
Unlocking Dholera’s Potential
Over 500 participants, including policymakers, industry associations, investors, and entrepreneurs, will gather to explore Dholera’s investment landscape. A highlight will be the panel discussion “Greenfield Smart Cities: Future of Urbanization”, which will examine strategies for building sustainable, technology-driven cities of the future.
India’s First Semicon City in the Making
Another key session, “Dholera: India’s First Semicon City in Making,” will present Dholera’s vision to become a global hub for the Electronics System Design & Manufacturing (ESDM) sector. The city is poised to attract entrepreneurs from around the world to develop a robust semiconductor and display manufacturing ecosystem.
Immersive VR Experience of Dholera
Ahead of the seminar, visitors to the Smart Infrastructure Pavilion at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Trade Show will experience a Virtual Reality tour of the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR), offering an immersive preview of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for the city.
A Milestone Edition of VGGS
Launched by PM Modi in 2003, the Vibrant Gujarat Summit has become a global benchmark for trade and investment events. This 10th edition will also see the release of a commemorative ₹20 coin and stamp. Already, 234 MoUs proposing investments worth ₹10.31 lakh crore have been signed, with the potential to generate over 13 lakh jobs.
With Dholera in the spotlight, VGGS 2024 is set to reinforce Gujarat’s position as a premier global investment hub.
