Dholera Airport Project to be Fast-Tracked, Says CM
Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has assured that the much-awaited Dholera Airport project will be implemented on a fast track. Speaking at the first meeting of the Apex Committee of the National Industrial Corridor Development Program in New Delhi, Patel confirmed that the state government is committed to expediting the project, which has already received in-principle approval.
Updating the panel on parallel infrastructure works, he said that land acquisition for the Bhimnath-Dholera Rail Project is progressing well, with the combined measurement survey now complete. This railway link is expected to significantly boost industrial connectivity in the Dholera region. Efforts are underway to finalize the tender process and complete land acquisition within the next six months.
Patel reaffirmed Gujarat’s full cooperation in advancing the National Industrial Corridor Development Program. The meeting was chaired virtually by Union Ministers Nirmala Sitharaman, Piyush Goyal, and Ashwini Vaishnaw, and attended by chief ministers and industry ministers from Haryana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
