CM Bhupendra Patel Meets Tata Electronics CEO Randhir Thakur to Discuss Dholera Fab Developments
Gandhinagar – Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel held a one-on-one meeting with Tata Electronics CEO & MD Shri Randhir Thakur during his visit to Gujarat for the Gujarat SemiConnect Conference 2024, organized by the Department of Science & Technology at Mahatma Mandir.
Shri Thakur appreciated the Gujarat government’s strong support in enabling Tata Electronics to swiftly set up its semiconductor production facilities. He briefed the CM on the company’s upcoming Dholera SIR plant, which is expected to generate over one lakh direct and indirect jobs.
He also sought government assistance in developing residential zones, shopping complexes, and other employee amenities near the plant, and expressed readiness to build a Taiwan Village to support international collaborations.
The Chief Minister assured full cooperation, emphasizing the state’s commitment to providing world-class infrastructure for the semiconductor ecosystem. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar, Additional Chief Secretaries Shri Pankaj Joshi and Shri S.J. Haider, Principal Secretary Smt. Mona Khandhar, and other senior officials.
