The much-awaited Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway is on track to open in early 2025, slashing travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera to just 40–45 minutes. As part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), this high-speed link is expected to boost connectivity, accelerate industrial growth, and strengthen Gujarat’s infrastructure network.

Key Highlights for Travelers

  • Strategic Route - The expressway begins at Sardar Patel Ring Road (Sarkhej) in Ahmedabad and provides direct access to Dholera SIR, connecting key development zones along the way.
  • Economic Impact - As a crucial DMIC project, the expressway is expected to drive significant investments, industrial growth, and job creation in the surrounding region.
  • Project Progress - Construction is 80% complete with an investment of ₹4,373 crores, being executed through four civil packages for efficient implementation.
  • Design Specifications - Initially featuring 4 lanes with expansion potential up to 12 lanes, the expressway will accommodate 25,000 vehicles daily at speeds reaching 120 km/h.
  • Environmental Considerations - The project incorporates roadside plantations, sustainable construction practices, and 8 strategic interchanges to balance regional connectivity with environmental preservation.

Once operational, the Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway will not only redefine road travel in Gujarat but also position the Dholera SIR region as a powerhouse for business, industry, and modern living.
