The Ahmedabad-Dholera Expressway is a transformative 109-kilometer infrastructure project that will significantly enhance connectivity between Ahmedabad and the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR).

• Route & Connectivity: The expressway runs through the Dholera SIR and connects to the Dholera International Airport at Navagam. It serves as an important component of the larger Delhi-Mumbai Expressway network, strengthening regional transportation infrastructure.
• Travel Time Benefits: Once completed, the expressway will dramatically reduce travel time between Ahmedabad and Dholera, facilitating faster and more efficient movement for both commuters and businesses.
• Future-Ready Design: While initially built as a four-lane expressway, the infrastructure has been designed with future expansion capabilities of up to eight lanes to accommodate increasing traffic demands.
• Project Development: The project was first proposed in March 2010 by the State Road and Building Department. After initial delays in tendering, the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) initiated the construction process in 2019 with an estimated investment of ₹3,300 crore.
