95% of Phase-1 Work at Dholera SIR Complete, Ready for Global Investments
Gandhinagar: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Thursday visited the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) — the state’s flagship greenfield industrial smart city — to review progress on ongoing projects ahead of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit (VGGS).
The state government announced that 95% of Phase-1 development—covering 22.54 sq km—is complete and the region will soon be ready to welcome investments from across the globe. Spread over 920 sq km and encompassing 22 villages in Ahmedabad district’s Dholera taluka, the SIR is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including:
- 72 km advanced road network
- 150 MLD water supply system
- Dedicated plug-and-play industrial facilitiesDedicated plug-and-play industrial facilities
A dream project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dholera SIR is being positioned as a hub for industries such as defence & aerospace, engineering, automotive & ancillaries, pharmaceuticals, agro & food processing, renewable energy, IT, and electronics.
During his visit, the Chief Minister met senior officials to devise a time-bound plan for final completion, reinforcing the government’s commitment to making Dholera SIR a world-class investment destination.
